Original Story (08/15/22): The shoe of the year for many, the Air Jordan 1 High OG “Chicago Reimagined,” is almost here. More photos of the shoe’s packaging have been revealed, providing additional storytelling on this vintage-inspired version of the classic.

The “Chicago Reimagined” Air Jordan 1 has received a new nickname, “Lost and Found,” as the sneaker is designed to look how an OG Air Jordan 1 “Chicago” from 1985 would look like if it was lost in a shop’s basement/storage and found decades later.

Packaged with the shoe is a receipt from a fictional shop named Sandy Bros. Sports Depot in Covington, Kentucky. It is dated August 30th, 1986, over a year after the original launch of the Air Jordan 1. This paired with the yellow “SALE” sticker on the box nods to a different era in sneakers. Before the rise of the internet and current hype market, customers in the ’80s and ’90s could walk into their local sneaker shop and find Air Jordan 1s and any other sneaker on store shelves, with pairs eventually going on sale for under retail months after their release.

The print on the wrapping paper is made up of newspaper ads of Jordan 1s at discounted prices. The box itself appears slightly beat up and comes in the OG red and black color, though comes with a “replacement” orange Nike box lid, as if the original box lid has gone missing over the years.

The Air Jordan 1 High OG “Lost and Found” (aka “Chicago Reimagined”) is currently expected to drop on November 19th on SNKRS and at select retailers. Check out the latest pics below.
