Earlier in the year, the Air Jordan 1 went the hybrid route with the Air Jordan 1 Retro ’97 TXT. Continuing down that path is the Air Jordan 1 Retro ’89 which takes inspiration fromm the Air Jordan 4. The 1 and 4 get chopped-and-screwed to create this mash-up which so far has a lineup of 3 colorways — 2 OG inspired and one reminiscent of the upcoming AJ4 Toro. The shoe features a netted mid panel along with a durabuck upper on the “Bred” version as well as cement print midsoles on the two OG versions. Keep it locked in at Modern Notoriety for more info on this interesting combination.

  1. I don’t understand why JB keeps trying to make these new fusions with the 1’s. Almost half of the footwear JB puts on their website has something do with the one’s. I like the retro 1’s, but these are just garbage.

  2. The younger generation buys them…Just look around at the high schools…. We get the ogs and since they can’t get them or can’t afford them ..they buy the cheaper fusions.
