Following some early looks, Jordan Brand has officially unveiled the Air Jordan 11 that will commemorate the model’s 25 year history, as well as the Air Jordan 11 Adapt, a power lacing version of the model that looks to the future of Jordan.
The “25th anniversary” Air Jordan 11, formally known as the Air Jordan 11 “Jubilee,” draws inspiration from the original sketches of the model and comes dressed in all-black mesh and genuine patent leather upper. Metallic silver accents and detailing highlight this release, as silver is the traditional metal used to celebrate a 25th (or Jubilee) anniversary.
Original sketches of the Air Jordan 11 showed Tinker Hatfield’s intent to make it a laceless model, which is now coming to life with the Air Jordan 11 Adapt. It incorporates Nike Adapt power lacing technology that is controlled by the wearer through Nike’s Adapt app. This version comes dressed primarily in white and users can customize the color scheme and flashing pattern of the Adapt buttons on the shoe’s midsole.
The Air Jordan 11 Jubilee releases in full family sizing on December 12th on SNKRS, followed by the Air Jordan 11 Adapt on December 30th.
