Following some early leaks, Nike officially announces the release of the Air Jordan 13 Low “Singles’ Day.”
This AJ13 Low was created for the unofficial Chinese holiday known as Singles’ Day, a celebration of those who are not in relationships and the largest shopping day in the world (think Black Friday but more than twice as much spending). There are a ton of cyberpunk and futuristic details on the shoe, such as glow-in-the-dark Barely Green overlays and outsoles, geometric patterns and Matrix-like “Air Jordan 0023” and “1111 Low” hidden codes on the overlays, and insoles with circuit board-inspired graphics. Not sure if the tech vibes are a nod to online shopping or if Jordan Brand is implying that most sci-fi and tech nerds are single.
