After bringing back the “Playoff” 12s in 2022, Jordan Brand is now bringing back the OG Air Jordan 13 “Playoff” colorway in 2023.
Michael Jordan debuted the Air Jordan 13 “Playoff” during the 1998 NBA All-Star Game, later wearing them throughout the playoffs on his way to his sixth championship. Aside from the original 1998 release, the colorway was retro’d once in 2011. A second retro release is now slated for 2023 in celebration of the Air Jordan 13’s 25th anniversary.
The design of the 2023 Air Jordan 13 “Playoff” is expected to be true to the OG 1998 release. It’ll come with a black tumbled leather upper with hits of matching black suede. Yellow accents come in the form of the yellow circle on the tongue around the red Jumpman logo and on the “JUMPMAN” branding on the tag at the bottom of the tongue. A white midsole and red outsole rounds out the design.
The 2023 Air Jordan 13 “Playoff” is expected to drop in February to coincide with NBA All-Star Weekend. Look for these to drop on SNKRS and at select retailers. Stay tuned to Modern Notoriety for updates.
