Original Story (01/21/21): After the initial Jordan Brand Spring 2021 lineup announcement, we now have more details on one of the stars of the collection: the Air Jordan 5 “Anthracite.”
Designers took Michael Jordan’s fifth signature shoe and redesigned the placement of certain elements to give a modern, updated feel. The original reflective material usually found on the tongue upper is now on the quarter panel and tongue bottom. The reconstructed version of the classic mixes different textiles and materials, such as suede and translucent lace details, while maintaining its original charm. The beloved “23” is still found on the ankle and splatter details take over the midsole.
Keep an eye out for the release of the Air Jordan 5 “Anthracite,” currently slated for February 6th via SNKRS and select retailers. The shoe will release in men’s and grade school sizes, with men’s sizes retailing at $190 USD.
