Original Story (06/15/22): Jordan Brand is dropping a new “Aqua” colorway of the Air Jordan 5 as part of its Spring 2023 retro lineup.
This pair is said to be inspired by the OG “Aqua” 8s, though to us it bares a strong resemblance to Chris Paul’s Air Jordan 5 PE from his days on the New Orleans Hornets, circa 2006. Black nubuck uppers are paired with Aqua accents on the tongue, heel, and outsole, while a hit of Taxi yellow is used on the shark teeth of the midsole.
The Air Jordan 5 “Aqua” is currently expected to drop on January 21st on SNKRS and at select retailers. Stay tuned to Modern Notoriety for first looks and additional updates.
