The Air Jordan 5 “Pre Grape” sample was the original colorway Tinker Hatfield had in mind, before the original White and Grape Air Jordan 5 we all love.
Intended to release in 1990 around the same time as the Air Jordan 5 “Grape”, the “Pre Grape” sample features almost the same colorway as the OG Grape Air Jordan 5, as well as the signature Nike Air on the heel.
Many of us prefer the original colorway anyway, but to know that these once dubbed “Hornets” Air Jordan 5’s are an OG and were hidden away in the vault, makes us question what else Jordan Brand has in their stash.
Let us know how you feel about the “Pre Grape” Air Jordan 5 in the comments section.
