Original Story (04/23/21): The Jordan Wings Scholarship Program started as a way to create and improve student relationships with teachers and mentors. With classes taking different shapes and forms this past year, the Jordan Wings program has chosen to honor the 2020-2021 graduating class with a special edition of the Air Jordan 5 Low. This follows up a “Wings” Air Jordan 5 in 2018 and an Air Jordan 10 in 2020.
Inspired by graduation caps and gowns, this Air Jordan 5 Low features a black and gold color scheme with primarily black nylon construction. Gold accents break through on tongue and on the embroidery on the heels that reads “20” on one shoe and “21” on the other. Hidden details include insoles that come with a golden diploma-like stamp and embroidery on the inner tongue that reads “JORDAN WINGS” and “CLASS OF 20-21.” Other features include a Wings-branded hangtag and a graduation tassel attachment for the laces.
The Class of ’20-’21 Air Jordan 5 Low “Wings” will release this May on SNKRS and select retailers. Expect a $175 USD price tag.
