1993 – Michael Jordan scores his 20,000th career point, wins his third NBA Championship and announces his first retirement from the game of basketball. All of these events will be the story behind several releases in 2013, as it will mark the 20th anniversary of the 3Peat. One of the releases we can confirm, is the Air Jordan 8 “Playoffs” which was one of the most iconic colorways in the Air Jordan 8 series, as well as the colorway Michael Jordan wore during the Playoffs in 93′. Let us know if you’ll be putting up your 2007 pair and cop these.
And just win I said I was gonna cut back on Jordan retros……smh
dope. got my fingers crossed for the aquas and bugs bunnies.
@ydoubleonie bugs bunnies ? …smh
@ydoubleonie y wait till they retro get em now u poor bum
When will Jordan Brand realize that if they quit releasing retros every week and go back to quarterly releases, they can quit recycling the same models and colorways every 5-7 years to have fresh NEW ideas???
@BiscoeTheBoss actually at the rate they’re going, that time will probably come soon.
@Shoeguy93
I hope so, because they are quickly destroying the history behind the brand.
@BiscoeTheBoss honestly though i think it is a good thing that they are doing so many releases. It gives a people a chance to cop the many elusive and now overprices releases of 06 and 07. Also, it gives many relatively new collectors a chance to build a well rounded collection.
@Shoeguy93
I don’t agree with the resell prices either, nor do I have every shoe that I wish I had. But what’s the point in collecting something that’s gonna re-release every few years?
@BiscoeTheBoss I agree that JB doesn’t really seem to have collectors in mind when they are planning their releases because at the end of the day they want to make money. But If people are spending 2-3 times retail on one pair then they will not be able to buy every shoe they want which makes JB lose a little money in the grand scheme. Also, think about it this way yes they are releasing stuff constantly now but eventually that will probably stop and they people will be begging for them to start it again.
My point is collect what you can now and sit back and watch later.(sorry for the rant)
@BiscoeTheBoss @Shoeguy93 If Jordan Brand was concerned about our collections, they’d go Broke! They’re more concerned with their profit (as any successful business should be). Every release leaves thousands empty handed due to various financial and/or other priorities. Coming back every couple of years to recoup that money from those that missed out makes perfect sense. I hear where you’re coming from, but I have to agree with J/b and Nike……
was never really a huge viii fan..loved the vii and copped the raptors…one happy customer!!! just want oxy or indiglo and i can reitre from the jb game! nuff said!
