Air Max Day has celebrated the culture and communities inspired by the Air Max’s iconic design annually since its creation in 2014. This year, while the event is required to look a bit different from the in-person activities of the past, Nike strives to preserve the same hype with an immersive virtual experience, Air Max Day Worldwide.
This day-long celebration from 12 a.m. to 9 p.m. PDT on March 26th will allow for participants to watch, listen, connect, and experiment through a range of activities all over the world. The full itinerary includes visits to Istanbul, Barcelona, Milan, Toronto, Los Angeles, Tokyo, Chicago, New York, and Shanghai, amongst other cities. Inspired by the design’s historic lineage and its dedicated community, some of these activities include creative workshops, panels, collection tours, and exclusive content going live throughout the day. Special guest appearances, music performances, and product drops can also be expected, including one of the most highly anticipated releases of the year: the first comeback of the Air Max 90 “Bacon” since its original release 17 years ago.
In addition to the Air Max Worldwide platform, SNKRS Live will also partake in the celebration with Air Max-focused conversations with Nike collaborators and designers.
