Original Story (07/06/21): Aleali May and Jordan Brand are having a prosperous year, teaming up on the “Califia” Air Jordan 1 CMFT and the follow-up Air Jordan 14 Low. Just revealed is another collaboration, the Aleali May x Air Jordan 4.
For this collab, the LA stylist, model, and designer gives the AJ4 a desert camo makeover. The uppers are made from a ripstop textile, with textured suede hits on the midsoles and heel panels. Sandy beige tones complete the desert look, found on the side panel netting, heel panels, sole units, and lace locks. Additional features include a velcro patch on the tongue and purple quilted insoles marked with Aleali’s “A” logo.
Aleali May first teased this Air Jordan 4 last year on Veteran’s Day as a tribute to her father who served in the US Army from 1990 to 2013 and fought in the Gulf War. The insignia on the tongue patch is a Jumpman version of the 4th Infantry Division’s combat service identification badge. This Air Jordan 4 is a Friends and Family exclusive and is not expected to release to the public.
