WWD has recently announced that Alexander Wang is set to join forces with adidas to create a collaborative collection, similar to the likes of Raf Simons, Rick Owens, Yohji Yamamoto, and Stella McCartney.

Wang has collaborated in the past with brands such as H&M, producing successful collections that have been prominent examples of the power in design he brings. The line will most likely debut at Wang’s show during New York Fashion Week on September 10th.

Will this be the next big thing for adidas? Does Nike need to step up their designer collaborations? Let us know what you think @ModernNotoriety and keep your eyes out for more info regarding what could be one of the hottest collaborations to come from adidas.

  1. Does Nike need to step up their designer collaborations? So Balmain and Kim Jones must be small potatoes then.. Lol

    • While I have enjoyed Tisci, Jones, and Rousteing’s collabs with Nike, I feel as though the limited availability and lack of structure has led them to be less common and forgotten in the streetwear realm. Just my thoughts however I do respect the firepower Nike has brought in.
