Footwear brand Allbirds reconnects with Jeff Staple’s STAPLE visual agency to present two new colorways of the Tree Dasher silhouette. This marks the second chapter of the two’s ongoing partnership.

The STAPLE Dasher puts Allbirds sustainability efforts in the forefront and amplifies the conversation around the carbon footprints of what we wear. Like the first colorway release in December 2020, the carbon footprint of the shoe is displayed on the lateral side panel. You may notice that the initial collab read +9.2 and these have a carbon footprint of 12.5 kg CO2e. This is due to to the metric being recalculated to account for the impact of transportation such as boating the shoe over on container ships. The end-goal is to get this number down to zero and create a true carbon-neutral shoe.

Both new colorways feature the same “inside out” style from Allbirds and STAPLES’ first collab, showcasing its natural materials that include merino wool, eucalyptus tree fiber, and Brazilian sugarcane. The “Medium Grey” Dasher comes in a darker color palette, playing on gray and black tones, while the “Multi-Melange” features a fruity pebble-esque multi-colored knit. The STAPLE Pigeon logo sits on the lateral heel on both pairs, dressed in red on the “Medium Grey” colorway.

The Allbirds x STAPLE Dasher “Medium Grey” will be available on January 13th exclusively in the US on the Allbirds iOS app, while the “Multi-Melange” pair will be available on January 20th on the STAPLE and Allbirds websites, the Allbirds app, and Allbirds stores in NYC Soho, San Francisco Hayes, LA Century City, Harajuku, and Berlin.
