Diadora Taps Anderson Bluu for Wine-Inspired Collection

0

Designer and artist Anderson Bluu collaborates with Diadora to create a two-piece “Wine Collection.” Drawing inspiration from the vineyard classic, the collaboration reimagines two Diadora silhouettes, the N.9002 and Maverick.

This collaboration’s wine theme pays tribute to the similarities found between sneakers and wine, namely that they both tend to go up in value with age. Diadora’s Italian heritage is also honored in the theme, as the sportswear and footwear brand births from the largest wine-producing country in the world.

The collaborative N.9002 is constructed of rich blue suede inspired by the blue grapes that are used to create red wine. The pair is made personal by choosing to place Anderson Bluu’s logo on the left sneaker, mirroring the creative’s dominant hand; while the right features a grape graphic, tying the artist to the theme. The Maverick “Chardonnay” comes in soft green suede, reflective of the green grapes used to create white wine. Faint yellow hues can be seen creating a subtle contrast on the tongue, laces, and midfoot logo. Both pairs finish with cork insoles inspired by wine corks and come packaged in a wine-barrel-inspired shoebox.
