Pusha T & Arby’s Drop Spicy Fish Diss Track

Original Story (01/18/22): An unexpected collaboration between Arby’s and Pusha-T is on the way.

The fast food chain known for its roast beef sandwiches has taken to social media to tease a collab with the Virginia rapper, who’s known to have a beef or two himself. The teaser video shows an Arby’s branded boat out at sea, some quick shots at Arby’s fish sandwiches, and for some reason, a robber dressed as a clown. The teaser posts also read “Something spicy is coming…,” so the logical conclusion is that King Push is in some way helping Arby’s roll out its new Spicy Fish Sandwich. People on Twitter, however, are quick to make the obvious joke that Arby’s is going to start putting cocaine in its food.

The connection between Arby’s and Pusha T is not as bizarre as you’d expect. The song that plays at the end of Arby’s commercials, “Burial” by YOGI, has a Pusha T feature. Pusha also praised the fast food chain in his 2015 Pitchfork Over/Under interview, stating that “Arby’s is life,” “you should have Arby’s for Thanksgiving,” and that he goes to Arby’s “once a week.”

So is Push writing a new jingle for Arby’s? He did write an “I’m Lovin It” rap for McDonald’s in the early ’00s, so it’s definitely possible. Check out the Arby’s teaser below and stay tuned for further updates.

Update (03/21/22): Pusha T and Arby’s have dropped their “Spicy Fish” diss track, taking aim at Mickey D’s and the Filet-O-Fish. Check it out below.
