Arc’teryx and Jil Sander Launching Collaborative Collection

The eponymous fashion house of minimalist German designer Jil Sander has teamed up with Canadian outerwear brand Arc’teryx on a full collaborative collection.

While Jil Sander herself is currently working with Uniqlo on the +J collections, collaborations between the Jil Sander fashion house and other brands are few and far between. These partnerships are reserved for specialty brands that are experts at their craft, such as Mackintosh with the raincoat and Birkenstock with the sandal. Arc’teryx falls into that category, as their highly-technical winter wear is highly regarded among techwear and outdoor enthusiasts.

The collection was designed for skiing and snowboarding, informed by frequent trips to Vancouver and the Alps taken by Lucie and Luke Meier, creative directors of Jil Sander. However, with gorpcore fashion on the rise, the collection fits right in with the current streetwear scene. Pieces include overalls, various jacket styles, and a 3L GORE-TEX full body suit.

The Jil Sander x Arc’teryx collection launches globally on Wednesday, November 10th on arcteryx.com, jilsander.com, and select stores. Prices range from $1,500 to $2,500 USD. Check out the preview photos below.
