ASICS is commemorating 30 years of the GEL-LYTE III with three playful colorways of the immensely-popular lifestyle runner.
Originally released in 1990, the GEL-LYTE III has become one of the most beloved shoes that ASICS has ever produced. The model’s new colorways serve as a perfect presentation of the shoe’s enduring appeal: casual yet memorable style, fun-loving but approachable, and everyday comfort are all highlighted here.
The first shoe takes a color scheme almost reminiscent of the bright turquoise, muted grays, and cool blacks found on Nike’s famous Tiffany Dunks, allowing for versatile wear without compromising looks. The second is a step closer towards 90’s-inspired colorblocking, making use of the same teal in addition to purples and more prominent black paneling. Finally, the last colorway sees the GEL LYTE III boasting a bold dragonfruit-pink on top of all of these, fully embracing the model’s potential for fun.
