ASICS Sportstyle has launched two new colorways of its popular GEL-LYTE III sneaker as part of an incense-themed “Kōdō” pack.
Kōdō (香道, literally “Way of Fragrance”) is the Japanese practice of incense burning that has been perfected over several centuries. Incense burning ceremonies are said to have positive effects on the mind and body (think modern-day aromatherapy). The GEL-LYTE III colorways represent traditional incense scents, with the Light Sage/Slate Grey pair representing eucalyptus, while the Barely Rose/Rosequartz pair represents hydrangea. Both pairs feature a mix of suede and leather construction.
