ASICS debuted the third version of the GEL Lyte in 1990. Since then, the silhouette has become one of the most cherished in sneaker history, loved by both runners and sneakerheads alike.
Just ahead of the silhouette’s 30th anniversary, ASICS is bringing back the original “Citrus” colorway of the GEL-Lyte III. It features a white mesh and leather upper, green suede overlays wrapped around the heel and toe cap, and bold hits of yellow on the silhouette’s signature split-tongue.
The ASICS GEL-Lyte III OG ‘Citrus’ releases on November 15th at select retailers, including Footdistrict, Allike, AFEW, and SNS. German sneaker boutique AFEW went all out with their advertising for this release, creating a campaign featuring professional bodybuilder Steve Benthin.
