atmos Japan’s creative director Hirofumi Kojima has taken to Instagram to reveal two new models made in collaboration with adidas in celebration of the Superstar’s 50th anniversary.
The R-SNK and G-SNK 10—one reflective and one glow-in-the-dark, respectively—represent one of the boldest realizations of the Superstar’s potential yet. The R-SNK features a blacked-out upper with incredibly intricate snakeskin-patterned adidas Xeno overlays that allow for an extremely impressive reflection under light. The shoe’s Three Stripes, too, appear to be made entirely from Xeno material.
The G-SNK, on the other hand, is shown giving off a spectacularly powerful green glow in total darkness. While atmos has produced plenty of adidas G-SNK models before (always involving glow-in-the-dark and snakeskin detailing), this model represents a celebration of an icon as the Superstar marks 50 years of enduring influence in street and sport fashion.
