The New Balance 2002R model has quickly become a fan-favorite silhouette. Following collaborative release with the likes of GANNI and The Basement, the brand is now teaming up with Tokyo-based sneaker store atmos on a new version of 2002R. This release draws from the streets of Shibuya and the creatures that coexist in the city’s sewage system.

The atmos x New Balance “M2002RAT” is constructed with a mix of materials including grey furry Harako material inspired by the mice that can be found in Shibuya. The nubuck leather overlays feature an embossed mouse footprint pattern, while hits of blue represent Shibuya’s sewage system. Custom mice graphics on the insoles add to the theme. atmos has enlisted Tokyo hip-hop collective Sound’s Deli to model the shoes in the campaign.

The atmos x New Balance “M2002RAT” is set to launch on May 28th exclusively in Japan and Korea on the atmos website, New Balance website, and New Balance and atmos stores. Check out the pair below.
