The wildly popular anime series Attack on Titan will be ending its seven year run with a fourth and final season, set to debut in Fall of 2020. The show premiered in 2013 and quickly became a hit due to its unique art style and intense storyline. It has become the most popular, most streamed, and most enduring anime of the decade.
A teaser for the final season premiered during the season three finale, featuring a voiceover from Mikasa pleading to Eren to come home and ends with a shot of an older Eren behind bars. The series finale coincides with recent news that the manga, which has been running since 2009, is also entering its final story arc.
Although the anime and manga are coming to an end, Attack on Titan will continue to live on thanks Warner Bros. and their upcoming live-action film adaptation of the series.
