Awake NY tucked collaboration with Vans, Crocs, and Reebok (just to name a few) under its belt in 2021. Now Angelo Baque’s label is adding to its lineup of collaborations with an extensive unisex capsule with Lacoste.
The twelve-piece collection pays homage to Paris and New York City, each of the labels’ home cities. Lacoste offers a dozen staple silhouettes that Baque is infusing with Awake NY’s streetwear simplicity.
Consisting of a cardigan, knit sweater, t-shirts, polos, and more, the capsule applies Lacoste’s colorblocked shades and vintage patterns with the urban feel of Awake NY. The pieces are set on a palette of white, green, black, red, and blue. A varsity “A” is seen throughout some of the pieces, combining the Lacoste crocodile and “Awake” script logo. Baque notes that the collaboration is an “opportunity to do something unexpected” and works on the preppy heritage of Lacoste.
