Vans goes coast to coast with its latest collaboration. The California-based company is linking up with Angelo Baque’s Awake NY to release three versions of the classic Sk8-Hi.
Unveiled in a lookbook starring Westside Gunn shot by Shaniqwa Jarvis, the Awake NY x Vans Sk-8 will arrive in pink/black, green/blue, and blue/red colorways. Each style comes with suede uppers, edge-painted side stripes, and white vulcanized midsoles. The checkerboard pattern is placed using a wax-resistant dyeing technique known as Batik, providing a worn-in look. Subtle Awake brading is printed on the aglets and debossed on the lateral forefoot. The NY streetwear label will be donating funds to Fresh Youth Initiatives and Children of Promise, NY with this release.

The Awake NY x Vans Sk8-Hi collection will launch via Awake NY on October 15th, followed by a Greenhouse drop on October 20th and Foot Locker release on October 22nd. Each pair is priced at $90 USD.
