BAIT is going on a run of anime-themed adidas sneaker releases. Following the One Punch Man Montreal 76 and the Initial D Nizza Hi, we are now treated to a Matchplay inspired by Sunrise’s Cowboy Bebop.
The adidas Matchplay is a classic adidas tennis sneaker with an upper similar to the Stan Smith and a vulcanized sole. The Cowboy Bebop Matchplay comes murdered out with a black leather upper and matching all-black sole unit. There are pops of green and yellow on the tongues and red and blue on the heels, a nod to the original Cowboy Bebop artwork featuring Jet, Spike, Ed, and Faye. The Japanese title card of the anime is printed in white on the lateral heels, with additional Cowboy Bebop branding on the heel panels and left tongue. BAIT will also be releasing a matching apparel collection alongside the shoes.
The BAIT x Cowboy Bebop x adidas Consortium Matchplay is available via online raffle, with winners notified before Saturday, September 18th. The shoe will also be available at BAIT stores, FCFS. The apparel collection drops on September 18th at BAIT stores and baitme.com.
