Earlier this year, teaser images of a BAPE x New Balance 2002R collaboration surfaced online. While we’ve gotten a few looks since then, such as on-feet looks from Kawhi Leonard at NBA All-Star 2021, there’s been very little updates on this highly-anticipated release. As we await more info, we can take a look at new detailed images.
Photos shared by Highsnobiety give us a closer look at the BAPE x New Balance 2002R in its grey and black/green colorways. BAPE’s signature first camo dresses the base of the shoe, while BAPE’s sharktooth graphic boldly covers the heels. Additional details include Sta logo detailing center toe on the eyestays and “a bathing ape” branding on the tongue.
Originally expected to launch in April, the BAPE x New Balance 2002R is now slated to release sometime later this year. Grab a detailed look at the black/green and grey colorways below and stay tuned to Modern Notoriety for updates on their release.
