It’s the 60th anniversary of the Original Dr. Martens boot. To celebrate, DM is partnering with twelve innovative, world-renowned designers, artists and creatives to reimagine the iconic silhouette in a new “1460 Remastered” project.
The first of these collaborations is with Japanese streetwear brand A Bathing Ape. For the two brands’ fourth collaboration together, BAPE uses the BAPE STA as a starting point, a silhouette that is also celebrating an anniversary this year. The boot gets dressed in BAPE’s 1st CAMO pattern with a BAPE STA star logo placed across the midsection. A yellow APE HEAD is also featured on an additional heel loop.
The BAPE x Dr. Martens 1460 Remastered launches on January 25th online and at select retailers. Check out the reworked boot below and stay tuned to Modern Notoriety for future installments of the 1460 Remastered project.
Update: Sold out online. Cop now on StockX.
