A BATHING APE is bringing back the BAPE ROAD STA, its air bubble-equipped footwear model last seen in 2013.
BAPE re-introduces the silhouette with a trio of metallic colorways. Fans of old-school BAPE may notice that these colorways are very similar to the Pharrell x BAPE ROAD STAs released in 2006. As evidenced by this new collection’s name, “Classic Reborn,” BAPE is re-introducing the ROAD STA by bringing back some classic colorways, though tweaked just enough so they are still fresh. The trio comes in red/blue, green/purple, and pink/blue color schemes, each with hits of metallic gold as well as a common bond between the three colorways.
The BAPE ROAD STA “Classic Reborn” collection will go on sale Friday, December 24th at BAPE.COM, followed by a release at A BATHING APE authorized retailers on Saturday, December 25th. Each pair is priced at $329 USD. Check out the trio below as well as campaign imagery featuring a Dekotora truck.
