BAPE, the Japanese label that has mastered the art of reinterpreting hallowed western streetwear classics, has a new silhouette on the way.
Dubbed the “ROADSTA EXPRESS,” the silhouette appears to take heavy inspiration from ’70s performance runners like the Nike Daybreak or Nike Tailwind. The ROADSTA EXPRESS features a durable Vibram rubber outsole and an EVA foam midsole ensuring comfortable and secure wear for a long time to come. The shoe also features a lenticular STA logos on the medial and lateral sides and an exaggerated, loose-sewn eyestay for a unique flair.
The all-new BAPE ROADSTA EXPRESS releases in both black and white for ￥21,000 (or approximately $200) each on Friday, June 19th at bape.com. The model will also debut at A BATHING APE stores worldwide on Saturday, June 20th. Grab an early look at the shoe below.
