BEAMS & Crocs Put A Tactical Twist on the Classic Clog

Japanese retailer BEAMS and Crocs are reuniting to offer new utilitarian versions of the Classic Clog. This collaboration marks the fourth team-up between BEAMS and Crocs, though this is the first to be distributed globally, including in the US.

The collection features two unique styles of the Classic Clog, each in two colorways. The first, the All-Terrain Military Clog, is a nod to helmet bags and MA-1 bomber jackets and comes in Army Green or Black. It features a large pocket on the heel strap, though it be removed and placed on the molle webbing on the vamp if desired. Similarly, the All-Terrain Outdoor Clog is offered in Grey and Black colorways. These are inspired by outdoor mountain parkas and come with a vamp packed with a netted pocket, cargo pocket, and a buckle strap with attached carabiner. Both styles come with a more rugged outsole for increased traction and support.

While Crocs may have been the go-to footwear for chefs and hospital workers, they’ve quickly become a staple in streetwear and fashion as a whole thanks to collaborations with the likes of Salehe Bembury, Takashi Murakami, and Bad Bunny. The Classic Clog has also gained the respect of the footwear industry, as the model recently won Shoe of the Year at the 2021 Footwear News Achievement Awards.
