Original Story (06/23/22): “Internationally Known, Locally Respected” is a bar from the 50 Cent “P.I.M.P” G-Unit Radio remix, though it’s also the tagline for the new Bodega x New Balance 574 Legacy collection. With this motto in mind, the two Boston-based brands have travelled to Paris to launch their latest collaboration.
A special Bodega x New Balance pop-up opened today in the French capital, located at 43 Rue Notre Dame De Nazareth. Visitors to the space received early access to the 574 Legacy collab, released in blue and yellow colorways, as well as complimentary food and wine. Bodega went all out for the event, even hosting a kick-off party headlined by rapper Larry June.
The collaboration is not Paris-exclusive however. A global release will take place next month which will include the two 574 Legacy colorways as well as a supporting apparel and accessory collection. The clothes come adorned with a co-branded globe logo, which is also found on the tongue tags of the shoes.
The Bodega x New Balance 574 Legacy collection will release at Bodega stores and online on July 15th. A wider release follows on July 22nd on the New Balance website. Check out both pairs below.
