2020 has been a great year for Brain Dead and its collaborations, and as we inch closer to the end of the year, the Los Angeles-based brand has tapped Converse for a fresh take on the iconic Chuck 70 and revival of the Bosey MC.

The footwear capsule includes the Chuck 70 and the Bosey MC. The iconic Chuck 70 gets dressed in a cow print upper similar to the first collaboration along with Converse and Brain Dead co-branding. The shoe sits atop a heightened distorted EVA foam outsole with irregular lines on the rubber rand. The classic black Chuck 70 gets the eye catching distortion added to the sole along with EVA foam for extra comfort.

The Bosey MC is a modern take on Converse’s 1940s Lakestream wading shoe. Brain Dead’s visuals take over the sneaker with tactile layering and details like a reinforced lining, heel pulls, and lacing cables. The shoe is completed by a black outsole.

To celebrate the release of the next installment between Brain Dead and Converse, the duo has released the short film Variations directed by musician Dev Hynes of Blood Orange. The short film features a variety of young LA based musicians and performers from the Inner City Youth Orchestra of Los Angeles (ICYOLA), the largest majority Black orchestra in America.
