Following a couple teasers, KITH has unleashed the lookbook for its upcoming Looney Tunes capsule collection. In commemoration of Bugs Bunny’s 80th birthday, who officially made his debut on July 27, 1940, KITH has chosen to have the iconic cartoon rabbit model the collection: an 80-style range of apparel, footwear, and accessories designed for adults and kids.
Tees and hoodies make up the men’s assortment, along with elevated styles such as denim jackets and varsity jackets co-created with Golden Bear. A Vintage Tee Program has also been developed specifically for this release, featuring 230 GSM soft cotton and a new look and feel of real vintage tees that have experienced extensive washing and processed printing.
A range of lifestyle accessories were also created, spanning from plush sets and rugs to collaborative Stance Socks and New Era caps. A Bugs Bunny plush is offered individually as well as 8-character plush sets which features all the iconic characters in the same color tone as Bugs Bunny. The Circle Huddle Rug features pile material and acrylic while showcasing the classic Kith logo and Looney Tunes iteration as seen on the Converse CT70.
A Kith Kids offering of 12-styles created for different age ranges is also included in this collection. Pulling inspiration from the men’s apparel, there are hoodies, tees, onesies, and accessories.
Ahead of the release, KITH will be launching a a special edition of Saturday Morning Cartoons on Kith.com on July 11th at 10AM CDT. Ronnie Fieg will share four of his favorite classic Looney Tunes shorts and interview a few key Looney Tunes personalities, including  the Executive Producer of the current Looney Tunes series – Looney Tunes Cartoons – Pete Browngardt, UCLA Professor and Animation Historian Jerry Beck, as well as voice actor Eric Bauza, who is the voice of Bugs Bunny in the new series.
