Developers Treyarch have revealed an all-new Zombies mode to be included in the upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War entitled Zombies Onslaught.
The mode will see teams of two players fighting hordes of zombies on smaller, more claustrophobic multiplayer maps. While this is nothing new for Zombies, Onslaught will contain players within a sphere cast by an orb of dark energy. Much Like Call of Duty Warzone’s gas circle, players who step out of the sphere will take “Dark Aether damage.” As players rack up more zombie kills, the orb becomes more powerful and summons elite enemies with far more intense and fearsome capabilities. Elite kills are used to determine players’ scores, and the orb will grow larger and move around as the game progresses.
Zombies Onslaught will be available to Black Ops Cold War players on PS4 and PS5 at launch, while other platforms will receive the new mode in November 2021. You can check out a trailer for the mode down below.
