Casablanca x New Balance 327s & 237s Arriving Spring 2021

1

Original Story (09/08/20): New Balance hit the ground running when they introduced their 327 model earlier this year with a collaboration with Casablanca. The orange and green colorways were an instant hit and solidified an ongoing partnership between the two brands. The second wave of Casablanca 327s launch on September 12th, but here at MN we’re always looking at what’s next.

We now have a first look at what’s in store for Casablanca x New Balance in Spring/Summer 2021. Unsurprisingly, we see a return of the New Balance 327, though unlike previous versions that featured solid color blocking, this season sees the introduction of prints to the model. The toe and heel caps come covered in a Celtic knot pattern, while a leaf-adorned strip runs down the throat in the lace area. Three colorways are shown in the photos below, each featuring a white perforated leather base. One features pastel pink and lime green accents, another is dressed in mostly white, while a third comes with hits of burgundy and forest green.

Some variations to the model have been made as well. We see two different versions, one with the overlays on the toebox and raised outsoles, and one without. Check out the Casablanca x New Balance 327 Spring/Summer 2021 offerings below and stay tuned to Modern Notoriety for updates on their release.

Update (12/30/20): A new photo by Steve Grimes, Casablanca’s art director, gives us another look at the upcoming Casablanca x New Balance 327. The version without the overlays down the middle of the toebox is a new model, the New Balance 237. The 237 also has some other differences, such as a ridged outsole. Expect official release info to arrive early in the new year.
