After dropping the Jade 5 Low earlier this year, CLOT is back with another Jordan collaboration, this time centered around the Jordan Delta 2.
This project marks CLOT and Jordan Brand’s first lifestyle release together. The CLOT Delta 2 pays tribute to the Air Jordan 13, a favorite of CLOT founder Edison Chen. Its design is a blend of the OG “Flint” Air Jordan 13 and the original Delta 2, deconstructed and pieced together to form an all-new futuristic creation that offer nods to the past, present and the future.
“I thought working on this silhouette would be a nice break from doing performance-related sneakers, especially with the Jordan brand. A lot of people are buying sneakers and leaving them at home. I want to make a sneaker that people use,” says CLOT Founder and Creative Director Edison Chen. “You can wear it and do whatever you want.”
The CLOT Delta 2 is packed with recognizable features from the “Flint” AJ13, including its white, navy, and flint grey color scheme, as well as its reflective mesh dimpled upper. White leather appears on the toe, eyesta, tongue, and heel, complemented by University Blue accents on the tongue logos and heel pull tabs. The mudguard and heel are covered in grey nubuck, while underfoot is a React foam midsole with white segments on the high-wear zones. Additional details include jade graphics on the insoles and a CLOT-branded hangtag donning the iconic AJ13 hologram, tied to the shoe with a red string for a traditional Chinese-inspired spin.
The shoes are dropping alongside a matching CLOT x Jordan apparel collection. The three-piece capsule includes a woven jacket, woven pants, and a beanie. All pieces come primarily in navy with jade embellishments and red string accents, continuing the Chinese-inspired influence.
