Original Story (07/12/21): After bringing back the original “Kiss of Death” Air Max 1 and releasing the follow-up “K.O.D. CHA” colorway earlier this year, CLOT is now releasing a third version of its popular Nike Air Max 1 collab. The Hong Kong-based streetwear brand is revisiting its rare “Solar Red” Air Max 1 colorway for this release.
The original “Solar Red” CLOT Air Max 1 was created for Kanye West’s “Touch The Sky” tour stop in Hong Kong in 2006, which was presented by CLOT and featured Edison Chen as opener, backed by the Hong Kong Orchestra. Only four pairs are rumored to be in existence, two owned by Kanye West and the other two owned by CLOT’s Edison Chen and Kevin Poon.
This upcoming “K.O.D Solar Red” release features the same color scheme as that F&F 2006 pair, though it also incorporates some signature details of the “Kiss Of Death” series. The shoe features a grey mesh base, Solar Red leather overlays, and University Red leather on the heel panel and Swoosh. CLOT branding is embossed on the white mudguard. The most notable differences from the 2006 pair are the red reflective heel panels with gold embroidery and the clear outsoles with printed foot graphics.
The CLOT x Nike Air Max 1 “K.O.D. Solar Red” is slated to launch on July 20th exclusively via JUICE STORE. Stay tuned to JUICE’s socials for more detailed release info.

Update (07/14/21): JUICE STORE has shared official imagery and launch info for the CLOT x Nike Air Max 1 “K.O.D. Solar Red.” The shoe will officially launch on July 20th exclusively at JUICE locations (Hong Kong, Shanghai, Chengfu, Los Angeles), the JUICESTORE App, JUICESTORE.COM (worldwide except Mainland China and Hong Kong SAR) and at a special pop-up activation at JoyCity Taikoo Hui Guangzhou.
