ComplexCon Chicago is only a few days and damn near everyone in the city is preparing for it in their own way. Participating brands are preparing to launch their exclusive merch. Vendors are putting the final touches to their booths. Local businesses are getting ready for the influx of visitors. Chicago is giving it their all. In return, ComplexCon is making sure to give back to its host city with their new philanthropic initiative, Complex Community.

Complex Community will hold public and private events across Chicago to benefit future leaders and organizations fighting gun violence, homelessness, and hunger; promoting education and therapeutic programming; and providing resources to those in need.

The first of these events was held at the Champion store in Wicker Park. Champion and Complex Community teamed up with Chance The Rapper’s SocialWorks to release a limited Reverse Weave Crew, with all proceeds going to empowering Chicago’s youth through the arts, education, and civic engagement.

Champion also gave a sneak peak at their ComplexCon exclusive merchandise. In commemoration of the brand’s 100 year anniversary, Champion will be releasing Reverse Weave Hood sweaters in multiple colorways that pay homage to the brand’s origin as Knickerbocker Knitting Mills in the year 1919. Each piece will be individually numbered and will feature a unique combination of Champion’s original company name and marks.

Also showcased at the Champion Chicago store was the Champion Tank. The aptly-named chunky sneaker will make its debut at Champion’s booth at ComplexCon Chicago in four colorways. Take a first look at the sneaker below.
