Original Story (07/28/20): New Balance has joined forces with Boston-based retailer Concepts to re-imagine the popular 327 silhouette to honor a New England tradition.
With a steadily growing colorway lineup, the model finds another iteration that merges the Boston heritage from both brands. This latest colorway draws inspiration from Cape Cod, Massachusetts, an area that is known for its scenic cranberry bogs. The sneaker gets its name from the “Cape Codder” cocktail, more widely known as a vodka cranberry.
This collab sees the model dressed in a cranberry-colored suede and nylon upper along with a gradient back-print TPU ‘N’ logo. Custom co-branding is featured on the tongue and insole along with hint of lime on an EVA midsole and the translucent ice blue rubber sole.
Creative Director of Concepts Deon Point remarked on the release, “The partnership with New Balance is constantly evolving. We’ve enjoyed bringing energy to new silhouettes, with the 327 grabbing our attention upon first reveal.”
