Original Story (05/19/22): Concepts and Nike SB kicked off their coveted “Lobster” Dunk Low series in 2008 with the release of a red colorway. This was quickly followed up by a “Blue Lobster” a year later, paying homage to the blue lobster which gets its color due to a rare genetic abnormality. An even rarer mutation turns lobsters yellow. This was the inspiration for the “Yellow Lobster” Dunk Low, a limited 36-pair run exclusive for Concepts’ friends and family.

After a decade-long hiatus, the “Lobster” Dunk series returned in 2018 with the release of the purple and green colorways. A sixth version is now rumored to release in 2022, this time in orange.

Orange being the next color in the series is logical, as the purple and green colorways were derived from combining the initial three primary-colored colorways (red + blue = purple, blue + yellow = green). A third combination can be made by combining red and yellow to make orange.

The Concepts x Nike SB Dunk Low “Orange Lobster” is expected to release later this year via Concepts and select skate shops. Stay tuned to Modern Notoriety for updates.
