Converse is Dropping an ABA-Inspired Footwear Collection

1

With the 45th anniversary American Basketball Association (ABA) merger with the NBA approaching, Converse has created a footwear collection that pays tribute to the ABA. The All Star BB Evo, G4, and Chuck 70 all get reworked in the same patriotic color treatment as the league’s basketball.

Each model in the trio is dressed in an enamel red, white and rush blue color scheme. The BB Evo and G4, both fairly new models from the Converse brand, feature red and blue color blocking with the ABA logo finding a home on each of their the tongues. The Chuck 70 completes the trio and features an all-over print graphic made up logos from ABA franchises. To complete the design is a signature red, white, and blue license plate along with a gum outsole.

Check out the official images down below and look for the Converse ABA capsule to drop on November 12 via Converse.com and at select retailers.

  1. are any of the profits from the sale of these shoes going to help actual former ABA players, many of whom are in need of financial or medical assistance right now and don’t receive any pension from the NBA after the merger? http://www.droppingdimes.org?
