Converse ‘Mi Gente, Mi Alegría’ Celebrates Latin American Heritage

Converse has introduced its ‘Mi Gente, Mi Alegría’ campaign and capsule in recognition of this year’s Latin Heritage Month.

Similar to last year’s capsule, the 2022 Mi Gente capsule was created by Latin American Converse designers and celebrates the vibrancy and spirit that bring the many communities of their culture to life. The accompanying campaign features LA-based collective Pangea Sound, who were selected to bring this vibrant collection to life through their forms of alegría (joy) — like music, dance, food, and community.

Included in this year’s capsule are special colorways of the Chuck 70, Chuck Taylor All Star, and Run Star Legacy CX. Each feature a textured woven canvas upper, lively color pops, and other unique details inspired by important aspects of the Latinx community: music, art, food, traditions, fabric, and family. Rounding out the capsule is a tee and and tie-dye oversized crop top.
