Converse, a one-time staple of basketball shoes, joins with Nike and Jordan Brand in this summers World Basketball Festival. The tour originally began in 2010 to celebrate the performance and culture of the game. This year, the tour in the U.S. will be in Washington D.C. where members of the Men’s and Women’s 2012 USA Basketball Teams train, compete and participate in youth skills clinics and other community involvement events. The tour will also hit Paris, Barcelona and London.
In respects to the World Basketball Festival, Converse will release the Pro Leather World Basketball Festival Collection which features six different colorways each shoe featuring city initials next to the Converse Star located on the shoe. Via Converse.
