After adidas Originals partnered with Craig Green earlier this year, the duo is proud to announce the second installment of their collaborative partnership. The collaboration merges ingenuity, function, innovation, and utility that is at the core of both brands.
For the upcoming collaboration, Green reworks the CG Superstar sneaker through one of his archetypal techniques using quilting to reimagine the timeless design. The shoe is covered in all-over contrasting line stitching.
The CG Kontuur III sneaker joins the lineup in Green’s lens as he introduces new ways to update the adidas Mundial football boot. The line stitching makes an appearance along with padded leather uppers for comfort. The shoe portrays Green’s interest in anatomy, with the shoe imitating the formation of a human foot.
Joining the new styles is the CG Polta AKH III silhouette, an updated take on the CG Polta AKH series that dropped earlier this year. In the new drop, the shoe is dressed in a transparent layer and printed monochromatic lining. The silhouette is rounded off with an adidas Rivalry sole for a sleek finish.
Each offering in the collection symbolizes the commitment to design freedom and creativity found in both brands. Green explores new boundaries in design while blurring the lines of functionality and purpose.
The campaign for the collection was captured by Green’s long-term collaborator, Dan Tobin Smith. Shoes from the collection are deconstructed, then turned into various sculptures.
