BAPE has always been on forefront of hip-hop and streetwear culture with big names like Lil Wayne, Pusha-T, and Kanye West wearing the brand throughout the years. First previewed back in February, New Orleans’ own Curren$y will be the latest hip-hop artist to remodel the iconic BAPE STA.
The sneaker is dressed in blue tones with dual branding on the heel in yellow and white. The rapper’s record label “Jet Life” is stamped in white with “BAPE STA” embroidered in yellow. Instead of using patent leather like most of the newer BAPE STAs, this pair features a genuine leather upper. Additional details include an icy white sole and a metal BAPE deubré.
The BAPE x Curren$y BAPE STA will be available July 11th at all A BATHING APE locations, US.BAPE.COM, BAPE.COM web store, and ZOZOTOWN.
