Alongside Damian Lillard and Zion Williamson, Kobe Bryant is the latest athlete revealed to be featured as a cover star of NBA 2K21.

NBA 2K is set to pay tribute to the late Kobe Bryant with a special “Mamba Forever Edition” of the game, honoring the Black Mamba’s “lifelong pursuit of victory and legacy in the sport of basketball.” The current-gen version features Kobe wearing #8, while the next-gen edition has him wearing #24.

Current-gen editions for Xbox One and PS4 launch on September 4th, while the next-gen editions arrive Holiday 2020. Players can purchase the standard current-gen game featuring Dame on the cover for $59.99 USD, or spend the $99.99 now for the Mamba Forever edition and get the next-gen version when it is released at no extra cost. Players on the next-gen systems will see that the cost of the standard game featuring Zion has increased to $69.99.

Releasing later this year, pre-orders are now available at Best Buy and GameStop. Check out the trailer and imagery below. Stay tuned to Modern Notoriety for updates.

Expected NBA Lottery picks LaMelo Ball, Cole Anthony, James Wiseman and several other NBA 2K21 rookies that will be featured in the game.
