The “Year of the Rat” celebrations show no sign of slowing down. Dover Street Market has enlisted the help of over 20 brands to kick off their 2020 capsule in similar fashion to their MONOCHROMARKET collection this past November.
Among the collaborators involved are CLOT, Snoopy, Nike, BAPE, Richardson, Doublet, Awake NY, Cactus Plant Flea Market, Nick Cave, Stüssy and more. The collection itself revolves around the rodent-theme we’ve seen throughout other releases, featuring T-shirts, long sleeves, hoodies, crewnecks, a pair of sweatpants, and a water bottle.
Nike has also added some of their creative touch within the collection, such as with a cartoon rat wearing a pair of Nike Vaporflys and a basketball team of rats. Each brand has put their exclusive spin on rat motifs, patterns, and styles. BAPE equipped its infamous APE Head emblem with rat ears and a tail, while Brain Dead chose to show a more graphic depiction of a couple of rodents.
