Fresh on the heels of the re-release of their “Kiss of Death” Air Max 1, CLOT has teamed up with Dr. Martens to rework yet another icon. The duo have reimagined the 1461, Dr. Martens’ classic low-top oxford, with a striking and slick new colorway inspired by China’s reverence for the color red.
Traditional Chinese culture uses red to symbolize good fortune, vitality, and celebration (among many other things). Thus, it’s only natural sense CLOT’s reinterpretation of the 1461 is brimming with personality, as a striking fire-red midsole, stitching, and eyelet combination accent boldly against the 1461’s signature smooth leather. The model also features co-branded patterned insoles and matching red lace aglets. Wearers also have the choice of swapping for an entirely red lace tipped with black aglets.
