Justin Saunders’ JJJJound has evolved from a digital mood board to a go-to menswear brand since its launch in 2006. This is thanks in part to its collaborations over the years, most recently with the likes of Reebok, Vans, New Balance, and Porter. The Montreal-based brand is now teaming up with Dr. Martens to launch two timeless Made In England shoes.
For this collaboration, Saunders and company reimagine Dr. Martens’ Archie II in two colorways, one dressed in black “Wyoming” leather and the other in dark brown “Crazy Horse” leather. The two colorways represent Saunders’ vision of the duality of creatives, with the brown shoe representing the contemporary creative and the black shoe representing the traditional creative. Both are handcrafted in Dr. Martens’ Wollaston factory in Northamptonshire, England, and feature a sewn-in JJJJound tab alongside Dr. Martens’ signature yellow welt stitching.
